Reporting directly to the Head of Surveying & Operations we are recruiting for the position of an experienced commercial Rating Surveyor.  As part of our ever growing team of rating surveyors you will have the opportunity to expand your skill sets and maximise your potential.  The successful candidate will gain exposure to our wide ranging client base of varying sizes, both locally and across England & Wales.

Overview of the role:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients to minimise their business rates liabilities
  • Support the day to day surveying & operational needs of the department
  • Identify business development areas to secure new clients and create opportunities for other services
  • Managing your own on-site surveys and inspections
  • Negotiating and settling appeals against rating assessments, including presenting cases at Valuation Tribunals where necessary

 

About you:

  • RICS qualified (Desired but not essential)
  • Proven track record undertaking valuations for rating casework
  • Preferable experience of Microsoft Office and Analyse software
  • Full UK driving license
  • Strategic and analytical thinker

Salary

£30,000 – £37,000 basic DOE & skills, plus car allowance and Commission (£50,000 OTE)
